For some reason I always seem to finish reading a book on a Wednesday morning, as I have done with the last 4 books. So why not write reviews about them on a Wednesday?
This morning I finished ‘Northanger Abbey’ by Val McDermid. My boyfriend got me this along with many other books for Christmas. He chose this one A: because Val McDermid is one of my favorite authors and B: because it had Abbey in the title (cute huh?). Anyway I’ve been keen to read it ever since.
I must admit, it’s a lot less crime filled than most of Val’s other books. ( I recommend the wire in the blood series if you like psychological, crime reads). But I still really enjoyed it none the less. It was intriguing from the first page and I couldn’t put this down. I’ve read a couple of adaptations of this classic novel but this one is by far the best I’ve read. Without giving away any spoilers I really recommend for a light read that’s doesn’t have too much going on all at once. The humor of the typical teenage vampire obsession with in this is great and I really fun twist.
I’ll leave a link below, I definitely recommend if you want to start getting into the crime thriller dramas, as I see this as a baby step towards that genre.
Now I’m gonna relax with cup of green tea and series five of PLL.
